Local Businesses, Organizations Urged to Apply for Grants to Help Grow Renewable Energy Workforce [Marshall, MN] – The Minnesota Renewable Energy Marketplace – Alliance for Talent Development (MNREM) is requesting proposals that address talent development, entrepreneurship, innovation or business growth in renewable or alternative energy. Any business or organization based in one of the 36 MNREM counties is eligible to apply for funds. Partnerships and inter-regional collaborations that extend beyond the 36 MNREM counties are also eligible. Grants will be awarded that develop innovative, collaborative initiatives to cultivate and grow the region’s talent pool, and to build and promote entrepreneurship and innovation to support the renewable energy industry. The purpose of the funding is to test ideas, start projects or expand current projects that result in significant regional change. Projects should have the potential to expand, be replicated or result in other projects with longer lasting effects. Informational meetings on the RFP will be scheduled throughout the region in late May and early June.
