The Government Affairs committee exists to Educate Chamber members on public policy issues Assist Chamber Board in developing positions on policy issues Advocate for business concerns with state and local officials Coordinate regional policy events with the Minnesota Chamber Host community events to meet with policy makers and candidates

• Organize candidate forums for legislative and local office -- October 2010

• Organize session wrap-up event with local legislators

• Co-host (with MN Chamber) a legislative review workshop for local businesses – June 28, 2010

• Provide guidance on public policy issues to Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce Board as requested
